Chattahoochee Valley Community College Emergency Medical Services program offers Paramedic and Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) certificates and degrees. These credentials provide students with specialized skill sets for immediate employment, upgraded skills for job advancement, or degree completion. The short certificate programs can be completed within one semester each, and the certificate can be applied towards the A.A.S. degree.
Goal of the Paramedic Program:
- To prepare competent entry-level Paramedics in the cognitive (knowledge), psycho-motor (skills), and affective (behavior) learning domains with or without exit points at the Advanced Emergency Medical Technicians and/or Emergency Medical Technician, and/or Emergency Medical Responder levels.
Goal of the Advanced Emergency Medical Technician Program:
- To prepare competent entry-level Advanced Emergency Medical Technicians in the cognitive (knowledge), psycho-motor (skills), and affective (behavior) learning domains.
