This program introduces fundamental concepts and applications in Robotics, Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC), and Circuit Fabrication. It encompasses basic conceptual design and primary applications, emphasizing safety, associated terminology, and the integration of essential electrical control systems for robotic and PLC movement. The curriculum explores topics such as servomotors, power systems, control systems, end-of-arm tooling, and other foundational aspects. Upon completion, students will proficiently describe various robot and PLC classifications and demonstrate practical skills, including soldering, cable construction, coaxial cable connection and termination, component mounting, case and chassis assembly, as well as printed circuit board design, layout, fabrication, and repair. Additionally, students will be prepared to sit for industry certification exams, such as the Semiconductor Equipment and Technology Association (SETA) certification.
