Chattahoochee Valley Community College (CVCC) proudly celebrated academic excellence with the induction of 18 outstanding students into the Phi Theta Kappa (PTK) Honor Society during a ceremony held Wednesday, April 23, 2025, in the IPAC Auditorium.
The induction ceremony recognized students who have demonstrated exceptional academic achievement, leadership potential, and a strong commitment to scholarly excellence. Faculty, staff, family, and fellow students gathered to honor the newest inductees and celebrate this important academic milestone.

Founded in 1918 by presidents of Missouri’s two-year colleges, Phi Theta Kappa has grown to become the largest honor society in American higher education. The organization recognizes and encourages academic achievement while providing opportunities for individual growth through leadership, scholarship, and service. With more than 2.5 million members and 1,275 chapters worldwide, PTK continues to make a global impact.
In 1929, the American Association of Community Colleges officially recognized Phi Theta Kappa as the honor society for two-year institutions.
CVCC congratulates each inductee on their hard work and dedication and looks forward to their continued success both on campus and beyond.
