PHENIX CITY, AL— Chattahoochee Valley Community College welcomes new and prospective students to CVCC for a precollege orientation session as the College gears up for its next New Student Experience scheduled for June 10 and July 23.
New Student Experience is for new students, transfer students, and their families to learn more about CVCC in order to facilitate a smooth transition to their first semester/term at the College. Whether you are a recent high school graduate, GED recipient, transferring from another college, or you are returning to college after stopping out for a while, New Student Experience is the premier event to put you on track for success.
“New Student Experience allows students to see first-hand what they can accomplish at CVCC,” said Vickie Williams, Associate Dean of Student Development and Success. “Students may receive an associate degree or certificates in programs such as Welding, Industrial Maintenance, Medical Assisting, Criminal Justice, and many more. Many students don’t realize that most CVCC classes easily transfer to a four-year university, and if you live within a 50-mile radius of the campus, there is no out-of-state fee.”
CVCC staff and faculty will provide workshops and guidance on financial aid and admissions requirements and provide one-on-one advising as well as registration assistance. Prospective students will learn more about the College and receive assistance with completing their electronic admission applications. Students planning to attend summer and/or fall semester may go complete a CVCC application online and register for New Student Experience now HERE.
