PHENIX CITY, AL— Two Chattahoochee Valley Community College administrators are graduates of the Alabama Community College System (ACCS) Financial Leadership Academy. Christer Sanks, CVCC Business Manager, completed the program in late May, and Dexter Jackson, Dean of Financial Affairs at CVCC, graduated last year.
The Financial Leadership Academy was developed to provide professional development and expert resources to current and future fiscal leaders across the Alabama Community College System. Graduates learn information that enhances their knowledge of the College financial operations, and more than 25 employees throughout the ACCS have graduated from the program since its inception in 2020. The Financial Leadership Academy is the vision of ACCS Chancellor Jimmy H. Baker and was originally implemented at the Alabama Department of Education when Baker served as Assistant Superintendent of Education for Finance.
