Apply for Financial Aid

To apply for financial aid at Chattahooche Valley Community College you must follow these steps...

  • Fill out an application for admission to Chattahoochee Valley Community College.

  • Provide your official transcript or GED certificate to the Admissions Office.  If you are a transfer student, provide official transcripts from the college (or colleges) you attended.

  • Complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid external link. This form may be obtained from the CVCC Financial Aid Office or you may apply online at the link above. If applying on-line, allow 2-3 weeks for processing. If the application is sent by mail, it will take approximately six (6) weeks.  (Apply ahead of your intended start date in order to allow for processing.) 

When you recieve your SAR, bring it promptly to the CVCC Financial Aid Office. At this time, you may be required to provide additional information to verify what you reported on the application. The student must have all prior schools send a Financial Aid Transcript from the Financial Aid Office to CVCC's Financial Aid Office. This is required by the federal regulations even if the students did not receive Aid at the prior institution.

  • Research and apply for scholarships.  This is not required, but is highly recommended.
