Admissions Procedures
  1. Submit a completed application for admission to the office of admissions. Student's will be issued a student identification number in an effort to prevent identity theft. However, all applicants must secure a social security number before submitting an application.

    Applicant Procedures

    • You may download the CVCC application from the link below. You will need to first download and install the Adobe Reader (if you don't already have it). It is available at the link below for free.
    • You may also pick up an application by coming by the Chattahoochee Valley Community College admissions office.
    • Complete the application completely and accurately then return to:

  2. Submit transcripts from previously attended high schools and/or colleges to the office of admissions.

    Only transcripts which bear the seal of the issuing institution and which are sent directly from the institution will be accepted. Copies submitted by the student directly are not acceptable.

  3. Submit a GED certificate. All non-high school graduates must submit scores on the General Educational Development Test and certification of achievement of the Certificate of High School Equivalency.

  4. Attend an academic assessment session. Students are notified of the date, time, and location of these sessions.

Special Admissions Procedures

  1. Accelerated and Dual Enrolled High School Students.These students must obtain permission from the high school principal on a form which may be secured from a high school counselor.

  2. Submit transcripts from previously attended high schools and/or colleges to the office of admissions.

NOTE:  You must have all required documents (Transcripts from high school, GED testing centers, and all colleges attended.) mailed directly from the school to Chattahoochee Valley. Unofficial transcripts are not accepted from students.

All regular students, (except transfer students admitted in good standing who have earned 13 semester hours of college credit) or any first time student who did not score 480 or above on the SAT verbal and 526 or above on the SAT math, or 20 or above on the ACT English and 20 or above on the ACT Math, will be required to attend an academic assessment session.
