Wilson Hall Student Center

We are delighted that you are taking the time to view the services offered by Counseling Services at Chattahoochee Valley Community College. Counseling services are available to Students enrolled in day and evening classes.

The Purpose of Counseling Services is to assist students in acquiring information to develop appropriate attitudes, insights and understanding of one's self which will facilitate the successful completion of their educational goals. The Purpose will be achieved through the following objectives:

  1. To assist students in the development of meaningful educational goals.
  2. To assist students in making career choices by providing career information and personal assessments.
  3. To assist students, through a system of testing, in acquiring personal information which will aid in developing and achieving appropriate career goals.
  4. To assist students in dealing with obstacles which will affect their educational, occupational and social life.
  5. To provide services in assisting new students with transition to and success with the college experience.
  6. To assist students in securing part-time or full-time employment.
