Welcome Dr. Cannon
Dr. Cannon begins his work at Chattahoochee Valley Community College, July 5. Dr. Glen Cannon has a B.B.A. degree in accounting from West Georgia College, an M.B.A. from Mercer University’s Stetson College of Business, and an Ed.D. in education from the University of Georgia. He is also a licensed CPA. He has held several senior level positions at technical colleges in Georgia, including 15 years at Central Georgia Technical College in Macon as the Vice President of Administrative Services. He was formerly the Vice President of Administrative Services at DeKalb Technical College in the metro Atlanta area. Dr. Cannon stated, “I am extremely excited to be allowed to serve at a college with such a strong and respected history as Chattahoochee Valley. I look forward to working with the great team at the college, and believe in the continued mission of the community college, which is to serve the student and our business and industry partners. The future of the college and valley area is going to be filled with tremendous growth and infinite opportunities. We will lead when appropriate, but at all times be supporters and participants in all areas of the community. We will work to ensure the college is an educational destination of choice for all students in our service area.” Dr. Cannon and his wife Penny are originally from the West Georgia area. Dr. Cannon joined the college on July 1. |
