Urgent Owen Hall Announcement
You’ve waited patiently to have the Owen Hall (Learning Resource Center/Library) roof repaired. We now have a plan to reoccupy the building. Once the construction fence comes down, please know there is much internal work to be done to get the building back up to standard. The building has been closed for six months. Here is our plan:
- - Friday, Feb. 6, the construction fence will come down indicating the outside work is complete.
- - Monday, Feb. 8, the college maintenance/housekeeping staff will regain access to the building for cleanup and internal repairs.
- - The week of Feb. 8-14, we will clean, paint, and shift furniture/equipment back to the main floor and to the mezzanine.
- - The week of Feb. 15-21, we will work to return the whole book collection to the main floor & mezzanine and clean, paint, and shift furniture/equipment on the lower level.
- - The week of Feb. 22-26, we will work to have faculty, staff and departments reoccupy the building.
- - Monday, March 1, we will invite everyone back into the building and resume normal operations.
