How do I submit a request?
You may obtain copies of request forms from circulation desk, or print the request forms from library’s website, or submit your requests online. The completed print request form can be returned to circulation desk or faxed to (334) 291-4980.
How long does interlibrary load take?
Delivery time varies depending upon the availability of the materials and the location of the lending institution. Materials requested through consortium loan service may take less than a week. Materials requested from libraries outside the consortium may take several weeks. Please note that these are general guidelines for delivery. If you need to check the status of a request after a reasonable amount of time has passed, please call us at (334) 214-4802.
How much does interlibrary loan cost?
Currently, there is NO CHARGE to you for ILL service.
How to renew interlibrary loan materials?
Most of the ILL materials may be renewed once. Please contact us at least two days before the due date.
What is interlibrary loan?
Interlibrary Loan (ILL) is a cooperative effort among libraries to share resources. Through ILL, we are able to borrow materials for you that are not owned by the CVCC/TSU PC Library.
What is the loan period for interlibrary loan materials?
Materials borrowed from other libraries have various loan periods. Please note that the due date is always indicated on the interlibrary loan items.
What type of materials can be requested through interlibrary loan?
Generally, CVCC/TSU PC Library can fill most requests for books, journal articles, theses, and dissertations.
What type of materials cannot be requested through interlibrary loan?
Entire issues of journals, magazines, newspapers, reference materials, record albums, software, audio or video-cassettes, rare books, and materials held in special collections are generally not available through ILL.
Where do I pick up and return materials?
All CVCC/TSU PC users should pick up from and return items to the LRC.
Who may borrow materials through CVCC interlibrary loan?
ONLY current faculty, staff, graduate and undergraduate students of CVCC/TSU PC may submit requests. Community patrons are not eligible for ILL service at this time.
