The ACT Compass test is a free comprehensive computerized adaptive testing system. This basically means that its design will get you in and out as soon as possible (most students take between 1.5 – 2 hours to complete).
The test is a diagnostic assessment of the basic skills a student needs to succeed at Chattahoochee Valley Community College. The test places the student in the proper reading, writing, and math classes that allow skill building and provide the greatest chance for success at CVCC. That means this exam is not a pass or fail test and there is no minimum score required for admission.
The ACT Compass test is offered multiple times a week and is free of charge. Walk-ins are welcome, just make sure to bring with you a government issued ID. Everything else is provided. If you still have questions, please call Ms. Gloria Vaughn Canty, Testing Coordinator at 334-291-4942.
